Lady Falcons Fall To Livingstone In Women's Basketball

SALISBURY, N.C. – Guard Shanika Harris (Sr./Richmond, VA) and forward Ashanti Reid (Jr./Statesville, NC) scored 13 points apiece for Saint Augustine's University in a 104-58 CIAA women's basketball loss to Livingstone College at New Trent Gymnasium on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016.

Shakeisha Washington (Jr./Atlanta, GA) added 11 points for the Lady Falcons, who played their third consecutive road game and sixth in their last seven contests.

he Lady Falcons lived up to their reputation as one of the top Division II teams in free throw attempts. Entering the contest ranked 25th nationally in free throw attempts, the Lady Falcons were 15-for-29 at the charity stripe. Reid scored most of her points from the free throw line as she made 7 of 11.

he Lady Falcons had better success from the free throw line than from the field. They shot 33.3 percent for the contest while the Lady Blue Bears made 55.3 percent of their shots.

Amber Curtis scored 19 points to lead six double-figure scorers for the Lady Blue Bears. Brittany Taylor added 15 points.
