Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. – Guard Sycoya Dorsey (Jr./Richmond, VA) paced Saint Augustine's University with 18 points and 12 rebounds in a 67-42 CIAA women's basketball loss to Winston-Salem State University at Emery Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016.
Dorsey was the biggest highlight for the Lady Falcons. She scored the first seven points for the Lady Falcons as they led 12-8 after the first quarter. The Lady Falcons fell behind by double digits in the second half, but Dorsey continued to hustle, totaling 11 points, 12 rebounds and two steals in the final two quarters. She finished the game making 8 of 15 shots, mostly on drives to the basket.
Guard Shanika Harris (Sr./Richmond, VA) added eight points and four steals for the Lady Falcons. Guard Ke-Ashe Lee (Soph./Roanoke, VA) added seven points and guard Shelby Stokes (Jr./Cleveland, OH) collected seven rebounds.
Kandace Tate recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Rams. Trei Torain and Sha'Quira Palmer each added 10 points.
TURNING POINT
The Lady Falcons only trailed 20-18 at the 2:36 mark of the second quarter after two free throws by Harris. The Rams then scored the final six points to go into halftime leading 26-18. The Rams' momentum carried over in the third quarter as the Lady Falcons' deficit grew to 18 points.

FREE THROW SHOOTING
The biggest positive for the Lady Falcons was their free throw shooting. They were 11-for-16 at the free throw line for nearly 70 percent. Harris was 3-for-4 and center Teeria Vaughan was 2-for-2.
