Lady Falcons To Play In Shaw Softball Challenge This Weekend (March 4-6)

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Saint Augustine's University softball team will compete this weekend in the Shaw Softball Challenge, which will be held at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex from Friday, March 4, through Sunday, March 6, 2016.

The cost is $5 per day for general admission, $3 per day for senior citizens and free for children ages 12 and under. The price is $10 for the entire weekend.

The Lady Falcons, one of 20 teams in the Challenge, will play five games. Their opponents are Mansfield University, Paine College, Queens University of Charlotte, Fairmont State University and Benedict College. Below are the dates and times of each game.

The Lady Falcons (0-7 overall) are led offensively by Marley Parker (Langley, British Columbia). The sophomore batter has six hits and a .375 batting average. Both Haili Pettifer (So./ Langley, British Columbia) and Korey Hill (Jr./Virginia Beach, VA) have two RBIs apiece.
