Gilmore And Gibson Lead Lady Falcons In Scoring Against Lincoln (Pa.)

RALEIGH, NC (Jan 11) – On Wednesday, Saint Augustine's University was defeated by Lincoln (Pa.) University 55-29 at Emery Gymnasium in a CIAA women's basketball contest.

Quiera Gilmore (R-Fr./Charlotte, NC) scored nine points and Maiya Gibson (Jr./Randallstown, MD) added seven points for the Lady Falcons, who posted season-lows in points and shooting percentage (21.3). Shakeisha Washington (Sr./Atlanta, GA) grabbed seven rebounds and Kelsee Arnold (Soph./Fayetteville, GA) snatched six boards.

Amanda Okodugha scored 12 points and Monique Cheek added 10 points for the Lady Lions (2-4 CIAA, 4-11 overall), who outrebounded the Lady Falcons 50-28. She'cquan Bailey chipped in eight points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Lady Falcons (0-6 CIAA, 3-15 overall) will begin divisional play against Winston-Salem State University at Emery Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. This will be the fifth of six consecutive home games for the Lady Falcons.
