RALEIGH, NC (Jan 25) – On Wednesday, the trio of Kelsee Arnold (So./Fayetteville, GA), Quiera Gilmore (R-Fr./Charlotte, NC) and Kaaliya Williams (Fr./Richmond, VA) scored 12 points apiece for Saint Augustine's University in an 83-54 CIAA women's basketball loss to Livingstone College at Emery Gymnasium.

The loss dropped the Lady Falcons to 0-4 in the Southern Division and 3-19 overall. The Blue Bears improved to 3-1 in the division and 10-9 overall.

Williams scored 10 points in the first half for the Lady Falcons, who started slowly and fell behind 17-7 in the first quarter. The deficit increased to 37-22 at halftime to the Blue Bears, who scored 16 points off 18 Lady Falcon turnovers in the half. Zena Lovette and Deonna Young scored 13 points apiece for the Blue Bears in the first 20 minutes.

Arnold heated up in the second half as she scored all 12 of her points in the final 20 minutes. But the Blue Bears stretched their halftime lead to 56-33 at the end of the third quarter and coasted the rest of the way. Young finished with 31 points and Lovette totaled 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Bears.

The Lady Falcons will head to Fayetteville, N.C. on Saturday, Jan. 28 for a CIAA contest against Fayetteville State University at Capel Arena. Game time is 2 p.m.
