Bowie State, Lincoln (Pa.) And Virginia Union Coming To Emery Gymnasium
RALEIGH, NC (Jan 3) – The Saint Augustine's University women's basketball team is set to host three CIAA home games in five days beginning with a Thursday, Jan. 5 matchup against Bowie State University at Emery Gymnasium. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Falcons will also host Lincoln (Pa.) University on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. and Virginia Union University on Monday, Jan. 9 at 5:30 p.m. The contests are part of a six-game homestand for the Lady Falcons.

The Lady Falcons are led in scoring by guard-forward Kaaliya Williams (Fr./Richmond, VA), who is also the team's leading rebounder. Williams averages 12.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in addition to making 86.4 percent of her free throw attempts. As a team, the Lady Falcons (0-3 CIAA, 3-12 overall) rank second in the CIAA in free throw percentage (71.4) and rank 13th in the nation in free throws made (207). Guard Kiana Clark (Fr./Queens, NY) is the team's second leading scorer (9.5 average) and rebounder (4.1 average) and leads the Lady Falcons in assists.
Saint Augustine's will take on a Bowie State squad ranked 10th in the latest D2SIDA Atlantic Region poll. Guards Kyah Proctor and Kiara Colston average 12.8 points and 12.3 points, respectively, for the Bulldogs (3-0 CIAA, 11-2 overall), who rank 12th nationally in offensive rebounds per game (18.0), 13th in turnovers per game (12.6) and 14th in scoring defense (54.8).
Guard Teira Pendleton paces Lincoln (Pa.) with an 8.1 scoring average. The Lady Lions (1-2 CIAA, 3-9 overall) rank third in the CIAA in free throw attempts per game (22.8) and fourth in blocks per game (2.8).
CIAA defending champion Virginia Union (1-0 CIAA, 10-0 overall) ranks third nationally in the latest WBCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. Guard Brittany Jackson averages a CIAA-leading 18.9 points and forward Lady Walker averages 13.7 points and 10.8 rebounds for the Lady Panthers, who rank among the top 10 in the country in five categories including points per game (9th/82.4), assists per game (6th/18.9) and rebounding margin (10th/11.7).
