Kaaliya Williams Scores 12 Points For The Lady Falcons

RALEIGH, NC (Jan 9) – On Monday, Kaaliya Williams (Fr./Richmond, VA) scored 12 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 101-48 CIAA women's basketball loss to Virginia Union University at Emery Gymnasium.

Kiana Clark (Fr./Queens, NY) added eight points and the trio of Maiya Gibson (Jr./Randallstown, MD), Ke-Ashe Lee (Jr./Roanoke, VA) and Paulette Addison (Jr./Wilmington, NC) each registered six points for the Lady Falcons. Jayda Luckie led five double-figure scorers with 18 points for the Lady Panthers (4-0 CIAA, 13-0 overall), who are ranked third nationally in Division II. The Lady Panthers are the defending CIAA champions.

The starting time of the contest was moved to early afternoon due to icy road conditions caused by inclement weather over the weekend. The Lady Falcons will host another day game this week on Wednesday, Jan. 11 against Lincoln (Pa.) University at Emery Gymnasium in a rescheduled contest beginning at 1 p.m. Winter weather forced the Lady Falcons (0-5 CIAA, 3-14 overall) to move the game from Saturday, Jan. 7.
