SAU Women's Basketball Visits Mount Olive Wednesday, Nov. 15 (Live Video And Live Stats Links)

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 14) – Fresh off Saturday's season-opening victory, Saint Augustine's University will visit the University of Mount Olive in a non-conference women's basketball game at Kornegay Arena in Mount Olive, N.C., on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Tip-off is 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the Lady Falcons (1-0 overall) defeated Bluefield State College 89-67 for their first season-opening win in six years. The point total is the most for the Lady Falcons since an 89-80 win at home against Mount Olive in 2014.

After one week, Kamya Renwicks (So./Baltimore, MD) ranks third nationally in Division II in assists per game and fourth in steals per game. The Lady Falcons guard played a superb all-around contest – 12 points, eight assists, five steals and four rebounds – against Bluefield State. Quiera Gilmore (So./Charlotte, NC) led the Lady Falcons with 17 points while Preseason All-CIAA pick Kaaliya Williams (So./Richmond, VA) and Tomisha Davis (Sr./New Bern, NC) added 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Mount Olive (0-2 overall) hosts the Lady Falcons in its home opener after dropping its first two games in the SAC/Carolinas Conference Tip-Off Classic this past weekend. Felicity Havens stood out in the Classic, averaging 35 points and 9.5 rebounds, including 41 points and 10 rebounds in a 90-79 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne University on Saturday, Nov. 11. She finished with 29 points and nine rebounds in a 94-81 loss to Catawba College on Friday, Nov. 10.

After facing Mount Olive, the Lady Falcons will play in the Red & White Classic this weekend hosted by Winston-Salem State University. They face Benedict College on Saturday, Nov. 18, and Central State University on Sunday, Nov. 19, in Winston-Salem, N.C., with both games starting at 2 p.m.
