RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 25) – Quiera Gilmore (So./Charlotte, NC) scored 14 points and Bianca Igwe (Jr./Tampa, FL) added 13 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 73-55 women's basketball loss to Elizabeth City State University in the FSU Thanksgiving Classic at Capel Arena on Saturday.

Gilmore added four steals and four rebounds for the Lady Falcons, who tallied 13 steals. Angela Caraballo (So./Richmond, VA) added seven points and five steals, and Kelsee Arnold (Jr./Fayetteville, GA) produced six points and seven rebounds.

Kaaliya Williams (So./Richmond, VA) contributed six points and five rebounds. She swished 2 of 2 free throw attempts to extend her free-throw hitting streak to 27. The standout forward is tied for the NCAA Division II national lead in free throw percentage (100 percent).

The Lady Falcons (2-5 overall) stayed close in the first half, trailing 35-30 at halftime. The Lady Vikings (3-3 overall) pulled away in the second half as they opened a 71-49 lead with 2:54 left in the fourth period. The Lady Falcons were outscored 38-25 in the second half.

Jayln Brown of the Lady Vikings led all scorers with 30 points. Devona Stell added 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Vikings, who outshot the Lady Falcons 46 percent to 32.8 percent.

After six consecutive games on the road, the Lady Falcons return home to Emery Gymnasium on Tuesday, Nov. 28, against Newport News Apprentice School. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
