Box Score RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 11) – Kaaliya Williams (So./Richmond, VA) of Saint Augustine's University extended her streak of consecutive free throws made to 33 in the Lady Falcons' 94-42 basketball loss to Division I North Carolina A&T State University on Monday. The contest was played at the Corbett Sports Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Williams knocked down 2 of 2 free throws against the Aggies to extend her streak which dates back to last season. She has connected on 25 of 25 free throws this season for 100 percent to lead all NCAA Division II women in free throw percentage. Williams is the nation's only ranked Division II female who is perfect from the charity stripe this season.
As a team, the Lady Falcons made 13 of 18 free throws for 72.2 percent. They also recorded seven steals and nine blocks in addition to forcing 19 Aggie turnovers.
Quiera Gilmore (So./Charlotte, NC) paced the Lady Falcons with 10 points and Kamya Renwicks (So./Baltimore, MD) added seven points while Williams and Kelsee Arnold (So./Fayetteville, GA) registered six points and five rebounds apiece. Tomisha Davis (Sr./New Bern, NC) had career-highs of 11 rebounds and four blocks in addition to scoring five points.
The Lady Falcons (3-6 overall) fell behind by 16 points in the second period but trimmed the margin to 36-26 on Arnold's three-pointer. The Aggies ended the period on a 9-1 run for an 18-point halftime lead before outscoring the Lady Falcons 34-5 in the third period.
C'Coriea Foy sparked the Aggies (3-5 overall) with 20 points, eight steals, eight rebounds and five assists. Jade Scaife and Chrishyanah Alston each added 11 points.
After playing seven of their first nine games on the road, the Lady Falcons return to Emery Gymnasium for a three-game homestand against CIAA opponents. They open CIAA play against Virginia State University on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 5:30 p.m.
