RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 19) – Saint Augustine's University fell to Chowan University 81-42 in a CIAA women's basketball contest at Emery Gymnasium on Monday, Dec. 18.

Kamya Renwicks (So./Baltimore, MD) finished with six points, five rebounds and three steals for the Lady Falcons, who forced 21 Hawks' turnovers. Quiera Gilmore (So./Charlotte, NC) added six points and Kaaliya Williams (So./Richmond, VA) pulled down six rebounds. The Lady Falcons, who shot 24.1 percent, were outscored 29-14 in the second period and 17-3 in the third period.

Chantel Roberts had 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks (3-0 CIAA, 11-1 overall), ranked eighth in the latest D2SIDA Atlantic Region poll. Danielle Weldon added 17 points and 11 rebounds and Dhyamond Crenshaw contributed 12 points. The Hawks scored 24 points off turnovers and outrebounded the Lady Falcons 60-32.

The Lady Falcons (1-2 CIAA, 4-8 overall) will go on a holiday break before visiting CIAA opponent Bowie State University in Bowie, Md., on Jan. 4, 2018. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
