Kiana Clark Leads Lady Falcons In Scoring

RALEIGH, NC (Feb 11) – On Saturday, Kiana Clark (Fr./Queens, NY) scored 12 points and Kelsee Arnold (So./Fayetteville, GA) added 11 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 79-49 CIAA women's basketball loss to crosstown rival Shaw University inside packed Emery Gymnasium.

Quiera Gilmore (R-Fr./Charlotte, NC) added eight points for the Lady Falcons, who outscored the Lady Bears 19-12 in the second period. Arnold scored nine points in the period to rally the Lady Falcons within 37-32 at halftime but the Lady Falcons were outscored 42-17 in the second half.

LaQuisha Taylor led Shaw with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Imani Heggins added 13 points for the Lady Bears (5-3 Southern Division, 10-16 overall).

The Lady Falcons (0-8 Southern Division, 3-23 overall) will venture to Salisbury, N.C. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 to take on Livingstone College. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
