Lady Falcons Will Play Six Conference Games In Three Days

RALEIGH, NC (March 15) – This weekend, Saint Augustine's University will open conference play with six games in the CIAA Softball Round-Up at Nevin Community Park in Charlotte, N.C.

The Lady Falcons will face Elizabeth City State University at 1 p.m. and Bowie State University at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 17. They take on Virginia Union University at 11 a.m. and Lincoln (Pa.) University at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 and Chowan University at 10 a.m. and Virginia State University at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 19. The make-up date for inclement weather is Monday, March 20.

Haili Pettifer (Jr./Langley, British Columbia) and Haley Sessoms (Fr./Kenansville, NC) are the hitting leaders for the Lady Falcons (4-8 overall). Pettifer ranks third in the CIAA in batting average (.455) and Sessoms is tied for third in the conference in home runs (3). Pitching-wise, Meranda Zanni (Sr./Phoenix, OR) ranks fifth in the CIAA in victories (2).
