SAU Women's Basketball Visits Barton Tuesday, Nov. 13

RALEIGH, N.C. (Nov. 12) – Three days after its season opener at home, Saint Augustine's University (SAU) travels to Wilson, N.C., to visit Barton College in a women's basketball game at Wilson Gymnasium on Tuesday. The non-conference contest begins at 6 p.m.

The Lady Falcons fell 78-69 to the University of Mount Olive on Saturday, but they were impressive in defeat. SAU guard Kelsee Arnold (Sr./Fayetteville, GA) scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Lady Falcons, and guard Kamya Renwicks (Jr./Baltimore, MD) added 11 points. Forwards Bianca Igwe (Sr./Tampa, FL) and Jordyn Burton (Fr./Durham, NC) chipped in nine and eight points, respectively.

The contest is a homecoming of sorts for Arnold and SAU guard Angela Caraballo (Jr./Richmond, VA). They both played at Barton College before coming to Saint Augustine's University.

Barton is unbeaten after two games. The Bulldogs topped Augusta University 89-46 and UNC Pembroke 76-72 in the PBC/Conference Carolinas Classic this past weekend. Senior forward Kianna Wynn scored 26 points against Augusta and senior guard Dinah Neal pumped in 16 points against UNCP.

After facing Barton, the Lady Falcons return home Saturday, Nov. 17, to host Clark Atlanta University at 2 p.m.
