RALEIGH, N.C. (April 22) – The Southern Division championship will be decided on Senior Day today (April 22) when Saint Augustine's University host Fayetteville State University in a softball doubleheader at Lions Park beginning at 12 p.m. The twinbill is free and open to the public.

Both the Lady Falcons and Broncos are atop the division standings at 7-1. In their previous contests, the Lady Falcons (14-8 overall) swept Winston-Salem State University by identical 5-3 scores on Friday, April 20, and the defending champion Broncos (11-21 overall) topped Shaw University 8-4 and 11-2 on Saturday, April 21.

Between the first and second games, a senior day presentation will be held for Akera McPhaul (Greensboro, NC), Marley Parker (Langley, British Columbia), Haili Pettifer (Langley, British Columbia) and Jasmine Rios (Greensboro). The seniors have helped the Lady Falcons earn a CIAA Championship, a Southern Division title, the University's first-ever NCAA Division II Tournament berth and a Division II national batting title in addition to a CIAA runner-up finish. In their four years on the team, the seniors have led the Lady Falcons to a 39-22 record against conference opponents.
