RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 17) – Saint Augustine's University (SAU) closes out the 2019 women's basketball schedule with two CIAA Southern Division games this week.
The Lady Falcons visit Claflin University in Orangeburg, S.C., on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. The site of the contest is Tullis Arena, and admission is free.
After playing Claflin, the Falcons head to Winston-Salem, N.C., for a divisional matchup against Winston-Salem State University on Saturday, Dec. 21. Tipoff is 2 p.m. at the Gaines Center, and admission is also free.

The Lady Falcons (0-2 CIAA, 4-5 overall) enter the Claflin game ranked fifth nationally in Division II in forcing turnovers per game (25.63). Spearheading the defense is Quiera Gilmore (Sr./Charlotte, NC), who ranks eighth in the nation and second in the CIAA in steals per game (3.63). Kamya Renwicks (Sr./Baltimore, MD) is tied for 10th (2.1) in the CIAA in steals per game and Jordyn Burton (So./Durham, NC) is tied for fourth in the conference in blocks per game (1.1).
Offensively, Kaaliya Williams (Sr./Richmond, VA) ranks eighth in the CIAA in points per game (14.3) and third in field goal percentage (48.5). Gilmore averages 13.3 points for the Lady Falcons.
SAU faces a Claflin squad that is winless in nine games (0-1 Southern Division, 0-3 CIAA, 0-9 overall). Dionna Long paces the Lady Panthers with a 14.1 scoring average. She ranks ninth in the CIAA in points per game and fourth in steals per game (2.7). Danyelle Riddick is tied for sixth in blocks per game (1.0).
Brandi Segars leads Winston-Salem State (1-0 Southern Division, 2-3 CIAA, 5-6 overall) in points per game (13.5) and rebounds per game (6.8). She ranks 10th in the CIAA in rebounding and seventh in field goal percentage (43.8).
