SAU Women's Basketball Visits Fayetteville State Saturday To Start Three-Game Road Stretch (Feb. 2)

RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 1) –Saint Augustine's University begins a three-game road swing against Fayetteville State University in a CIAA women's basketball game in Fayetteville, N.C., on Saturday, Feb. 2. The contest begins at 2 p.m. inside Capel Arena.

The Lady Falcons hosted seven of their previous eight games at Emery Gymnasium in January. The lone away game was against Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C. Saturday's game will be their first outside the Capital City in a month.

Shankia Clark tied a season-high with 18 points for Saint Augustine's University in a 61-43 CIAA loss to Livingstone College at Emery Gymnasium on Wednesday, Jan. 30. Clark grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Falcons, who outrebounded the Lady Blue Bears 48-40. She was 8 of 12 from the floor and added one block and one steal.

Katisha Hyman scored 21 points and Jasmine Covington added 15 points for Fayetteville State in an 82-44 CIAA Southern Division road win over Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The Broncos controlled the glass, outrebounding the Lady Bears 61-48, which led to 16 second-chance points and 36 points in the paint. Fayetteville State turned 13 Shaw turnovers into 22 points.
