SAU Visits William Peace In Softball Doubleheader Between Raleigh Schools Wednesday

RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 15) – Saint Augustine's University faces William Peace University in a non-conference softball doubleheader between the Raleigh schools on Wednesday, Feb. 16. The first game starts at 1 p.m. and the second game begins at 3 p.m. at the WPU Softball Complex.

The Lady Falcons (0-4 overall) are led offensively by Yasmine Thompson (Sr./Charlotte, NC) and Victoria Spoon (Jr./Holland Patent, NY).

Thompson leads the Lady Falcons in batting average (.444). She smacked a grand slam home run against Benedict last week.

Spoon has the second-highest batting average (.400) on the team. Gia Minnis (Grad./Nassau, Bahamas) is 2-for-2 in steal attempts.

Dara Orr and Lauren Conway pace William Peace (1-1 overall) with two hits and two runs this season. They both have .286 batting averages.
