SAU Softball Falls To St. Andrews In Doubleheader

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 RALEIGH, N.C. (March 2) – Saint Augustine's University fell to St. Andrews University 6-1 and 6-0 in a softball doubleheader at Knights Softball Field in Laurinburg, N.C., on Wednesday.

In the first game, Gia Minnis (Grad./Nassau, Bahamas) drove in Dawayna Pratt (Sr./Nassau, Bahamas) with a single in the fourth inning for the Lady Falcons. Pratt reached base on a single.

Pratt moved to second on a flyout and reached third on a single by Victoria De La Cruz (Jr./Whittier, CA). The Lady Falcons finished the game with four hits.

In the second game, the Lady Falcons (0-8 overall) recorded four hits. Yasmine Thompson (Sr./Charlotte, NC) led the team with a double.

The Knights (4-8 overall) tallied 10 hits in the first game and 15 hits in the second game.

The Lady Falcons play their home-opening doubleheader next Wednesday, March 9, against Bluefield State College at Oakwood Park. Game times are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
