Raleigh, NC -- Raquel Cassidy aided the Falcons to wins over Shaw and Winston-Salem State last week by averaging 16.5 rebounds, 8 points, and 1.5 blocks. The senior set a career-high with 15 boards (10 defensive) against the Bears and then set a new career mark with 18 rebounds (13 defensive) three days later in the win over the Rams. In the 74-34 win over Shaw, the Gainesville, FL native scored 10 points to earn her third double-double of the season. In the 91-80 victory over Winston-Salem State, Cassidy logged two blocks with six points, in addition to the 18 boards.
